The Capitol Hill Challenge is a special edition of The Stock Market Game that shares with Members of Congress
real-time examples of students benefitting from the program in their respective district or state. Since its inception
in 2004, CHC has engages 239 U.S. Representatives and 112 U.S. Senators with over 5,000 students across the
country. The program takes place every spring with student teams managing a hypothetical $100,000 online portfolio,
investing in real stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The classroom learning focuses on the importance of long-term
saving and investing. CHC actknowledges the accomplishment of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams and their teachers
with a trip to Washington D.C. to meet their Members of Congress and tour financial landmarks and national monuments.
